Autumn is definitely in the air. The trees are changing colours, the Robin is singing from the top of the tree, Jackdaw flock are getting bigger and there has been an influx of Goldfinches, yet we still have fledglings appearing in the garden.
Greenfinch Fledglings – Great to have some of these, numbers are really down!
Insects are still buzzing, and I found a 7 Spot Ladybird and some late pupating Harlequins
7 Spot Ladybird
Loads of Wasps too. It’s fascinating watching them drink from the bird bath! Must get a photo of that
Buzzards and Sparrowhawks are flying over everyday, still waiting for a good shot of the Sparrowhawk though
Buzzard being mobbed by Jackdaw
The new Robin for the year is starting to claim his territory though he doesn’t seem as belligerent as last years.
The Hedgehogs are nightly visitors and going through food like nobody’s business. Last night all 3 were eating at the same time.
Had some nice clouds too!
And the ISS again
